Sponsor Bexfest
Preparations for this year’s Bexfest are now in full swing and it's shaping up to be better than ever! We're now inviting local businesses to become event sponsors – a fantastic opportunity to support the school while getting your brand in front of hundreds of families.
Why sponsor Bexfest?
Your logo featured on eye-catching banners displayed across the school site (over 500 attendees expected!)
Promotion on our printed and digital flyers distributed in the run-up to the event
A special thank-you shout-out on our school’s Facebook, Instagram, and X (Twitter) pages – reaching over 1,000 followers in our local community
If you own a business – or know someone who might like to support – we’d love to hear from you! Please get in touch at admin@bexton.cheshire.sch.uk to learn more about how you can support the event.
Bexton Colour Run
Wow – what an incredible result! On 28th March, we held our Colour Run to raise funds for our much-loved (but very tired!) Astro-turf, and thanks to the generosity of our school community, we absolutely smashed our target. We set out to raise £2,000 and were completely blown away to reach a phenomenal £2,997 raised on GoFundMe which, added to the cash sponsorship, amounts to an AMAZING total of £4,663.
Every single penny will go towards giving our children the safe, vibrant space they deserve to play, learn and thrive outdoors. Thank you so much to everyone who donated, supported, and cheered us on – we are so grateful for your kindness and backing of this brilliant cause. You’ve made a real difference to our pupils.
A Big Thank you!
A huge thank you to everyone who booked into our Holiday Club! The children were absolutely wonderful, and it was a joy to see them engaged and having fun.
They enjoyed a variety of activities including:

🌼 Garden games in the sunshine
We’re already busy planning for the May Half Term, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone back for more fun and adventures!
Baby News for Mr. Evans
A huge congratulations to Mr. Evans, who welcomed another beautiful baby girl into the world on Tuesday morning! Mum, baby and dad are all doing wonderfully. We’re sure you’ll join us in sending warm wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Evans as they enjoy this special time with their newest little bundle of joy!
Lost Property
Unnamed school uniform items from last term, and spare P.E kit will be displayed in the Junior playground next Monday and Tuesday at drop off and pickup. Please check and collect any items that belong to your child. Unclaimed items will be donated to charity after this time.
Eco News
Have you spotted any bluebells in your garden or while out walking around Knutsford?
While we often think of bluebells as blue, they can also appear in shades of white or pink. But are they native or Spanish?
Take a closer look:
Native bluebells have narrow leaves and delicate, tubular bell-shaped flowers that curl back at the edges. The blooms grow on one side of the stem, causing it to gently droop. They also have a sweet, subtle scent and cream-colored pollen inside.
In contrast, Spanish bluebells have broader leaves, flowers that grow all around a more upright stem, and no noticeable scent.
Here is a link with more information, so next time you're out, see if you can tell the difference! https://www.wildlifetrusts.org/wildlife/how-identify/spanish-or-native-bluebell

Football
What a brilliant evening for this fantastic group of boys representing Bexton at the football tournament yesterday! They kicked things off with a cracking win against our neighbours - Egerton!
Over the course of the tournament, we had 2 wins, 1 draw and 2 hard-fought losses – finishing in 4th place overall.
Their teamwork, determination, and sportsmanship were outstanding throughout. Well done, boys - you did Bexton proud!

Happy Birthday!
Happy Birthday Scarlett, Bessie, Poppy and Oscar, thank you for your wonderful books.
