BEXTON SCHOOL HEAD ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT
Paul Dolan, Head Teacher at Bexton has announced his early retirement.
Mr Dolan said
‘’I have decided after some long deliberation to retire early and move on to some pastures new, with a completely different venture. I have really enjoyed my time at Bexton and our many accomplishments over the years.’’
In a letter to parents he added
‘’I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for your support, kind words and encouragement over the years, they have really been appreciated. I would also like to thank all the staff for their incredibly hard work, without them we wouldn’t have made such a difference. The children staff and wider community, especially all the grandparents, are incredible and words cannot express how much I have really appreciated them over the years. Good luck and best wishes to you all for the future.’
Peter Woodhouse, Chairman of Bexton Governing Board said
‘’Paul has been Head Teacher for 8 years and we all wish him the very best for the future.
Paul has shown a deep commitment to the school and the children and has overseen a successful period in the school's development. He has engendered a love of reading as well as a creative and child-centred approach to teaching. His work on the Bexton Values, which our children live and breathe, may well prove to be his greatest legacy.’’
For the next two terms, the current Assistant Heads will step up to lead the school – Emily Armstrong will become Acting Head Teacher, and Jill Sach Acting Deputy Head.
