Special Needs Co-Ordinator

MPR / UPR plus SENCO Allowance - value dependent upon qualifications and experience

Situated in the historic market town of Knutsford, Bexton Primary is a vibrant and welcoming two form entry school with resource provision for 7 children with complex additional needs.

The Governors of the school are seeking to appoint an outstanding, inspirational SENCO to work closely with the Senior Leadership Team ensuring high quality provision for our children. The successful candidate will have proven experience of working with children with special needs and ideally be able to demonstrate experience of co-ordinating special needs provision across a whole school setting. The ideal candidate will have completed the National Award for Special Needs Co-Ordinators or be willing to complete this by August 2019.

The role includes a teaching commitment each morning in which you will teach our Resource Provision pupils in small nurture groups and direct the teaching assistants who support them. Afternoons are allocated for ensuring systems and procedures are being followed throughout the school to ensure that we identify children with additional needs, and have appropriate support in place to enable them to make the most of their time at Bexton.
